September 30, Thursday

What a week this has been! Horrible kids this week. Actually had to have a family meeting and set the rules straight! Got some threats from Dad aka King of the house. We also reminded them that this is NOT a democracy!

I'm beat tired, just want to lay in bed and watch tv for a day. My body could use it. Feel like I feel down a flight of stairs. Next week is no refuge as I work even more days at the deli and again three in a row. I really need to find a new job, or move to a different department in Big Y.

Looking forward to tomorrow though, everyone will be gone and I get to go to Mass.

Day in Julie's life - I get all the paper work done for my car in 1998. I love this car, still have it :).

Hope for tomorrow. that the kids will be nice to each other and not fight, just for a day

September 25, Sunday

Been a few days, but nothing much going on. I took a three hour nap today and wrote up the next report for the kids. It'll be their happiest moment to get it! :)
Work is work! Guys are so gross is all I have to say!
I'll be sure to fill you all in tomorrow as it's economics and art day tomorrow. Then a car show. I LOVE those things. All those awesome cars to look at!
Okay, the highlight of my weekend! I found a place to buy Dr. Pepper. You have NO idea how hard it is to find here!

Date in Julie's History. I went to the Mall with my friend 5 years ago. I'm sure we skidded class to do so. As was our habit!

Thought for the day - Dr. Pepper is the best!

Another day is here :)

Well I guess I should clarify something. :) This is suppose to be alittle funny :), it's using humor to deal with things. So please don't think I'm here just complaining about brats! I enjoy what I am doing and really hope to be able to help the kids. They are teenagers so there's a lot of trial invovled.

I think I'll be adding Jayne this also so she can put her comments about the day as well :) I'm also going to add a 'this day in Julie's history' So sometimes it'll be real and others, well lets just say I don't and haven't lead a very interesting life, so some of it will be made up all in good fun! So enjoy, and I hope to hear from you all sometimes!

Today,
We had fun today, dispite not getting to blow things up, we got groceries though! And LOTS of them. I get to cook Salmon tomorrow evening. (Thanks Laura for introducing me to Salmon, what a great food I missed out on all of my life!).
Tomorrow I'm giving the kids their grades and they have to give this first report, this isn't going over well, but since it seems a good form of torture, I have decided that they will be getting another one on Monday! I'm such a nice teacher! :)
I worked this evening and it seems the boss is taking care of her grandchild who at the ripe old age of 8 months has a cracked skull. There is speculation as to How and child that same breaks his skull, so prayers that it's not what everyone is thinking.
Nothing else exciting is going on here, but tomorrow is a new day, and maybe we'll be blowing up some really cool things tomorrow!

Today in Julie history - Sept. 23 I went to my first boy girl party, at the age of 14, and in my first year of high school. I didn't know, nor did my parents that it was a boy girl party. The boys didn't spend the night, but I did sit on someone's thumb, not on purpose. It was fun, and really set the course for my freshmen year.

Thought for the day - fish love to eat shrimp pellets!

Good night all

Day One

Well this is day one of my blog. I have decided to write about being a nanny, the trials of trying to get teenagers to learn! Man, God sure is good giving kids to a person as BABIES. I'm coming in when they are teens, and it's not the prettiest thing to see! :)

Man! Kids sure are crabby! All you want to do is teach them and make them want to learn and do well. And all you get is crabby meanness! What's up with that! I guess trying to make them be decent kind humans with a love of the Faith is just something that makes them pissy!

On a positive note, we got to blow things up today! We got some dry ice and blew up water bottles, SO fun. You never grow out of wanting to blow things up. It was cool too! Those water bottles sure make a loud noise when they explode! I think the adults enjoyed it more than the kids! I just might have to pick some of that up tomorrow so we can REALLY scare the neighbors!

Thought of the day - it's easy to piss a kid off, just make them do what they are suppose to do!
Hope for tomorrow - no crabby kids, and more blowing things up!

Please share your crabby kid stories and also an fun story about blowing things up :)

first post

Well I don't really know what to say here, this is my first post in a blog! I'm Julie in Connecticut.
